Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has lied before congress many times in his tenure. He did it yet again on Tuesday. What kind of country have we become? A country where the highest ranking law enforcement officer has allegiance only to the president, where the AG has no problem lying to congress, and a country where a quarter of it's people think it's OK to do so. This guy is a fucking criminal and he is lying to protect other criminals. He doesn't even do it well. What are we, as a citizenry, supposed to do? What can we do? Signing statements, executive privelage, and ignoring of congressional subpeonas. No one is above the law. That might have been true pre-9/11, but not any more.
To the zombified supporters of this regime I ask this. What would you do if a democrat tried these things? I can hear your outrage now. Your little, pudgy, bodies would be bathed in the sweat of indignation. You would find your allegiance to the constitution again. You would scream foul. You are not patriots, you are partisan lemmings. The party is not the government. You do not deserve to call yourselves Americans.

Just think if Dennis Kucinich LOOKED presidential. He would win the nomination for sure. Unfortunately you have to be telegenic to get any real attention from corporate media, therefore the masses. For those of you who read thefringe you are well aware of my disdain for religion. I admit, I focus most of my vitriol on christianity, but that is because I live in America and these lunatics are trying to fuck up my country from within. Which is, in my opinion, far more dangerous to our democracy than outside fanatics.(After all, W claims to be a christian and he has really fucked up the country .)
I don't have cable so I only have six channels that I can tune in. Two of the six are Zealotvision. Impeccably dressed "preachers" constantly asking for money and puking dogma. One of my favorite bullshit artists is Ray Comfort. You may know him because everywhere he goes he carries a banana and a lap dog named Kirk. That's right Kirk Cameron.

It's kind of ironic that chimpanzees are and humans share 95% of the same DNA and Ray and Kirk use a banana to "prove" god exists.
Senator Russ Feingold, Democrat from Wisconsin, said today that he will introduce legislation to censure the president...again. He wants to publicly reprimand the president(maybe Cheney and Gonzo too) for his(their) inappropriate behavior.(Iraq and the destruction of the Constitution) He also went on to say that impeachment is not the way to go, in his opinion. He then gave the same reasons we have heard from all the other dems. I actually said, out loud, "NO! NOT YOU TOO RUSS!" After all, Feingold has been in front of this administration since the beginning. He did not vote for the "Patriot" act, he voted against the war authorization, he has been outspoken in his criticism of this administration since they were selected. Most of the time without support of his fellow dems, though he turned out to be right. He seemed fearless. If anyone will stand up to The Bush Crime Family, It will be Russ.
Sadly, he too has capitulated. Censure?! Oh no! Not a public reprimand! I'm sure that'll fix 'em. Inappropriate behavior?! Are you sure that isn't an exaggeration? Those are some harsh words, Russ. How will they withstand that barrage? You Dems are MANIACS! Are you sure you want to be that rough? I mean all you are saying is "These guys have done really bad things and we don't like it. However, we will do nothing to stop it, because we are scared." You bad muthashutyomouth. I am thoroughly disgusted. I am disappointed that a lion has allowed himself to become a kitten.
So the Censure legislation will pass or fail. Who really cares? What will that do? Nothing. The war will go on, the administration will continue to flout the law, corporations will still run things, and the criminal idiot twins will still have the power.
Nice job. How do any of you dems feel good about taking your paychecks? Shame on you. SHAME.
