Bush asks for more patience and more courage in Iraq. Translation: More death, money, carnage, and lies.

I love my country, but I am not proud of what my country has become.
How did we let it get this far?
Where corporations mean more than individuals, where the middle class is destroyed, where we start pre-emptive wars, where the constitution is just a piece of paper, where dissent equals treason, where our reputation has been all but destroyed, where the insidious arm of religion has permeated our government, where the president has almost tyrannical power, where the justice dept. cares more about politics than law, where elections are stolen, where lobbyists make the laws, where there are Free Speech Zones, where Paris Hilton serves more time than Scooter Libby, where New Orleans is allowed to be destroyed, where war profiteering is sanctioned by the government, where habeus corpus is a thing of the past, where privacy is determined by your government, where the rights of gays and people of color are undermined, where 46 million don't have health insurance, where we don't take care of soldiers coming home from war, where the press is not independent, where the Geneva Convention is quaint, where we torture, where the citizens don't demand justice, where Money is power, where other countries own too much of our debt, where voting is surpressed, where the Military establishment is revered, where children go hungry, where education is only a priority during elections, where the voice of the people is silenced or ignored.
Not in America you say? Look around.
This Fourth of July when you roll out your flag, remember what those 50 stars and thirteen stripes represent. Then ask yourself if we still deserve it.
Fight!
Missing our Democracy Terribly,
