The Republitards are running some real zeros, but Romney wins "Biggest Douchbag" this week.
Truly a man of all people....
I can see advisors prepping Willard, before he goes out and meets some real "blacks".
Advisor: "Make sure to touch them...it will show that you aren't afraid. Oh yeah,..... speak to them in their own language".
Romney: "I don't know ebonics."
Advisor: "You don't have to...just say something that shows you relate to them as fellow Americans."
Romney: "I've got it! How about 'Who let the dogs out', I've heard them chant that at sporting contests."
Advisor: "Perfect."
Romney: "Then maybe I should do a couple steps of soft shoe."
Advisor: "No, just go ahead and give a few high fives and say you've got to get to lunch with your baby momma...they'll love that."
Romney: "Right off, brother!"
Advisor: "It's Right ON, sir."
Romney: "Right. I am Down, Parsons. You know that."
Advisor: "Of course you are sir. You've got the funk."
Romney: "Exactly! I have the funk! Now let me rap on those bloods for a while!"
Advisor: "Yes sir! Let's get you out there! Cue the bongos and jungle noises! And Jonson...grab the grape soda!"
What an ignorant douche.

And to think just 30 years ago Romney's cult wouldn't even accept the Lamanites. They were, after all, cursed with color. Now a mormon presidential candidate is frolicking with them on TV. Times sure have changed.
I wonder what Joe "Seeing Stones" Smith would have to say about where his beloved, racist, polygamist doctrine has gone.
In all seriousness...The cult of mormonism lost an immortal prophet this week. The 97 year old prophet was overcome with an acute case of death.
Mormonism is a fine example of how religions, all the major western ones (that I can think of) anyway, are hypocritical to the core. if they really believed that "God" didn't want the races to intermingle (I'm assuming that was the propagated justification for their racist bigotry) then OK. Great. I, a regular human being with normal intelligence and an unwashed brain, think that they're a bunch of racist douchebags but it's their "religion", which is always based on superstition and mythology, so I will not expect them to change (rational person that I am). I will content myself with the sure knowledge that I need never associate with Mormons (and offer this consolation to my black brethren as well). Fuck'm! Who needs em?
Here's where the hypocrisy comes in. Mormon children, in spite of the best efforts of the church elders and their parents, were realizing what a bunch of douchebags they had been born into and were leaving the "faith" as they reached adulthood. Oh no! How will they sustain themselves! Religions need money and they don't get money from outside "the faith", it must come from within. Hmmm... what to do...
Well, maybe if they changed? Sure, that's a good idea. They'll just make some new rules. Maybe they were wrong about what "God" thought about this whole intermingling issue. Sure, happens all the time.
Hypocrites and douchebags! Surely it's better to be just douchebags? But oh yeah; "God" probably doesn't want them to be broke, right?

notacynic -- Religion and hypocrisy? I'm sorry, I just don't see the connection.
I think "Man of the People" Mitt is the one who said that it made him angry when others spoke about "two Americas". He said he just didn't feel that way. He also said his sons were serving their country by helping him get elected. Now that is a guy who cares....about people.
I don't think I can come up with someone more obviously in tune with the plight of the common American, no matter what color he/she may be, than Mitt "Rich, white, mormon cult member" Romney. Well, maybe George "Rich, white christian cult member" W. Bush. He may be more in touch. Either way, these two guys have proven that both they and the GOP in general, understand America.
"Under the Banner of Heaven" is now added to my list of future reads. Probably not until summer though as I am currently being assigned 200+ pages/week plus daily assignments in Spanish 102.
