IN WHAT WAY, IF ANY, ARE THE UNITED STATES BETTER OFF SINCE BUSH WAS SELECTED TO BE PRESIDENT?

IN WHAT WAY, IF ANY, ARE THE UNITED STATES WORSE OFF SINCE BUSH WAS SELECTED TO BE PRESIDENT?

HAS THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT (LET'S SAY...FROM '68 TO PRESENT) RUINED WHAT IS BEST ABOUT THIS COUNTRY?

Curiously yours...

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer

Hello stranger!

In a word... "yes", my friend. We have conservative Republicans to thank for taking us off the gold standard in 1971. It kills me that people swallow the conservative dogma and vote for Republicans that don't understand shit about the economy. Ghost US dollars and voodoo economics...just look at the miserable financial legacy that the old Republican boys have left us to deal with over the past 30 years. It's just mind boggling to me that we keep electing them.

Yes I can say something positive about G.W. he woke more people than were killed by his policies! One hell of a price for a wake up call isn't it! The man has the ability to read and comprehend at a 3000wpm rate and we are buying into the poor "dumb GW" line. Madness has it's methods.... Pop'

Blaast,
The conservative movement since Nixon has laid waste to America. The founding fathers would be horrified to see the return of the Torries, those royalist bastards from whom we won our freedom. But it was that slick, deceitful Reagan and the neocon fascists with their trickle-down, piss on you, worker, attitude and un-American policies that really turned the tide. Of course he was aided and abetted by a frightened populace who after the experience of the 60's and the mind-expanding possibilities laid on the table, tucked their tail between their legs and called on Mighty Mouse, a.k.a jesus, to save them from themselves. The rise of these evangelical mega-churches empowered the red-neck multitudes to tap into the political structure of Washington. Now we are strapped with millions of idiots who only respond to their fear-emotiional button being pushed and have no concern for the real issues that face us as a nation. Reverend Wright is right on when he says "goddamn America." We are a nation of shallow, un-informed, lazy, flag-waving nationalists who have no clue as to what a true Patriot is.All one has to do is go to a Wal-Mart and look at the horror, the dead eyes, the bloated bodies, and listen to the dumbed down speech of Joe six-pack to realize that what was once a great nation has become a cesspool of oblivious, incurious slugs.
In short, yes, we are much worse off now than we have ever been in our history.

The notion of a "conservative movement" is a misnomer which encourages "sleepers" most citizen to vent their frustration on each other. Bush is a Plutocrat who is simply doing the bidding of someone else that has a triple digit IQ.
By creating an interal conflict with the help of disinfromation and Hate based name calling media, he is distracting us from what is really going on. That's his real job. It is to divide and conquer. It is the same game book plays of all despots like Lenin, Hitler, Franco, Pol Pot, and so on. Create chaos, cut off supplies, create artificial shortages and wait for the people to beg for "Order".
Oldest trick in the book and their doing it while we sit like Deer in headlights watching TV.
